Sofia Busk (b. 1986) is a Danish documentary photographer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sofia has a bachelor's degree in photojournalism and graduated from The Danish School of Media and Journalism in January 2016. Sofia is a passionate photographer and works with subjects based on social issues.

Projects and education                

2020. Portrait series “They changed Denmark'' about MeToo and gender equality in Denmark. The series focuses on the women who have been at the frontline of the metoo struggle and the women who have created changes in relation to gender equality in Denmark.

The series was published in 16 pages in the daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten.

-Reportage from Copenhagen ‘ghetto’ Mjølnerparken showing everyday life in a neighbourhood with a high concentration of ethnic minorities now being forced to move from the area due to the new government ‘ghetto plan’. Published in German daily Spiegel. -Reportage from Kenya on Chinese influence and investments – especially focusing on working conditions for Kenyan workers employed in Chinese companies. Published in Danish daily Berlingske Tidende.

2019-2020 Working on project concerning women rights in Kenya, domestic violence and rape. Beginning Long term project documenting young women’s struggle and life in a safe house in Nairobi.

Photographer on "Rejsen til Slaveøerne" - Interactive educational material for Denmark's biggest online educational publisher, Clio Online, concerning the time when Denmark had a colony in The West Indies.
